Dear Parents and Seniors,

Please be aware that the Yearbook Class works on deadlines imposed by our publisher;  our deadlines below are not flexible.  Questions may be directed to: cbowman-smith@smmusd.org

Senior Baby Pictures—October 1st.

• Baby pictures should be turned in with a stamped self addressed envelope, if you want it returned
• Your name should be on the back of the photo
• Photo can be any size from wallet to 8x10
• Deadline for submission is October 1st.  (No guarantee your photo will be published if received after the 1st.)
  
  

Senior Portraits -- NOW

• Please arrange immediately with Whites Studios to get your portrait taken.
• Whites Studios 818-752-7780, 818-752-7784, appointments can be made on-line: www.whites-studios.com/malibu
• When you receive your proofs, do not delay in getting approval to Whites or Whites will choose your portrait for you.
• If you don’t want to purchase a portrait package, the sitting fee for the yearbook portrait is approximately $25. 
• Whites Studios will be on the MHS campus for portraits; please make an appointment ASAP
• Be aware that the Yearbook page looks terrible when we have a mixture of Senior portraits from various photographers. We will ONLY guarantee portraits from Whites Studios being placed in the yearbook.

Headshot Quotes – October 1st.

• The quotes under your Senior portrait should be quotes from songs or poetry. They should not be messages to your friends. (See Shout out section below for messages to friends and family)
• Quotes are due by October 1st.  
• Quotes are to be e-mailed to malibuhsyearbook@yahoo.com
• We will ONLY accept quotes that are emailed to us by the deadline of October 1st.   (Anything received after the 1st will not be guaranteed.)
• There is a 125-character limit for the quotes; you must include who is being quoted. Quotes will be omitted if they are inappropriate. 
• When emailing, please put your last name in the subject line.
• Quotes will only be placed if a good portion of the Senior Class submit them. Please motivate your friends!

Advertising Pages -- NOW

• Pages are limited; you must see either a yearbook student or Mrs. Bowman-Smith to purchase space
• Full page is $300, half page is $160, and quarter page is $85

Senior “Shout-Out” Quotes, end of the book – November 5th.

• This is the place to say goodbye and thank you.
• Shout-Outs are due no later than November 5th.
• Limited to no more than 100 words. 
• Any inappropriate comments will be taken out, no discussion. 
• Shout-Outs are to be e-mailed to malibuhsyearbook@yahoo.com. Please put your name & “Shout out” in the subject line.
• Shout-Outs will only be placed if a good portion of the Senior Class submit them. Please motivate your friends!

Yearbook Purchase – January 11th.

• You can purchase your yearbook at https://secure.smart-pay.com/ or you may call 1-800-853-1337.
• The last day to order with personalization is January 11th CST (on-line personalizations stop at 9:59pm, phone personalization orders stop at 3pm).
• The last day to order a book February 28th. CST (on-line stop at 9:59pm, phone orders stop at 3pm).

We will only order the number of books sold on-line. We will have a few “over-run” books to sell in June, but they will be marked up on price considerably. ORDER YOUR BOOKS NOW.
