MONDAY MESSAGE -  November 13, 2017

Dear Shark Parents and Friends,

I hope all had a relaxing three day  weekend and took a moment to give thanks to all those that have served in the Armed Forces.  Speaking of giving thanks, we are gearing up for the Thanksgiving Break.  Thanksgiving is perfect time to reflect on the things for which we are most thankful.  Right now, I am thankful for the amazing students, staff and parents of Malibu High who have welcomed me into their community.

“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.”

-William Arthur Ward

Speaking of amazing students, don’t forget to get your tickets to the High School Musical, James and the Giant Peach.  Just so you know, don’t ask William (who is playing the role of James) who is playing the peach...he says it is the most asked question, and I gathered that he doesn’t find it funny any more.  Either way, the musical will be fantastic and I cannot wait to see it.

Have a great week and a spectacular Thanksgiving.  Go Sharks!

Cheli Nye, Ed.D.

James and the Giant Peach,  Malibu High School Musical: ALL

James and the Giant Peach, The Musical is a delightfully offbeat adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl adventure that tells the fantastical tale of a young English orphan boy, his insect friends and their amazing journey across the ocean on a giant piece of fruit. Featuring a wickedly tuneful score by the Tony Award-nominated team of Pasek and Paul (Dogfight and A Christmas Story the Musical) and a curiously quirky book by Timothy Allen McDonald (Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka, The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley), James and the Giant Peach is now a musical for the whole family to enjoy! Critics rave: James and the Giant Peach is a “masterpeach!"  Click here for the flyer - James and the Giant Peach
