Resources
SURVIVAL SKILLS1.) COME TO CLASS REGULARLY Missing classes causes students to fall behind on information needed to perform successfully on exams. 2.) PAY ATTENTION DURING CLASS Class time is for learning (not socializing with friends). 3.) TAKE NOTES WRITTEN ON THE BOARD Test questions are taken from information written on the board. 4.) ASK QUESTIONS WHEN CLARIFICATION IS NEEDED Most of the students earning an "A" in my class understand the information during the class and go home to review. Students who struggle try to go home and learn the information. 5.) STUDY 20-MINUTES EVERY NIGHT Letting information pile up only adds to confusion and stress. 6.) TAKE TESTS ON TEST DAY Skipping exams due to a lack of being prepared only postpones the maturation of the student in taking responsibility for their procrastination. 7.) KEEP UP-TO-DATE SCIENCE FOLDER All graded tests, quizzes, labs and homework needs to be corrected immediately after returned and placed in the folder to be kept at home until the end of the semester. |
